Abstract
Sildenafil citrate is a white crystalline powder which formulated as a blue film coated diamond shaped tablets. Tablets are manufactured as a dosage of 25 mg – 50 mg and 100 mg by Pfizer. Inc and its commercial name “Vigra “. Sildenafil prevents the breakdown of cGMP and augments the effect of nitric oxide on vascular smooth muscle cell. L-tyrosine is a semi essential amino acid involved formation of catecholamines (dopamine, epinephrine and nor epinephrine) from adrenal gland and thyroid hormones T3 and T4) from thyroids. Dopamine is also involved in activating the release of growth hormone. This study aimed to through the light on the efficiency of Sildenafil and L-tyrosine in improving the reproductive efficiency of rabbits through study their ability induce puberty and improve productivity in immature female rabbits as indicated by the increase in body weight, conception rate and number of litters at birth and their survival rate up to one month age. as well as its effect on the reproductive organs (ovary and uterus) and the other different internal organs (liver and kidney), level of RBCs, WBCs, PCV, haematocrite, hormones and serum enzymes and the changes that occur in them.
