Abstract Developing countries have great amounts of low cost agricultural and industrial wastes with high cellulose content (wheat bran, wheat straw, rice bran and rice straw and others) that at present are, at best, ~ither ploughed into the soil, used for fuel by factories that produce them. or .used as cattle feed these agroindustrial wastes are very promis- ing carbohydrate sources for production of microbial proteins to be used as cattle feed. In the present study an attempt has been made to improve the nutritional value of the wheat bran waste by selection of single cell protein and cellulase producing fungu. |
