Abstract The study was intended to evaluate the success of minimally invasive single stage crestal sinus lift operation without graft material. Fourteen patients were selected from Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Faculty of Dentistry – Mansoura University, for implant restoration in conjunction with crestal sinus lift for a single/multiple missing posterior maxillary tooth/teeth. All patients included within this study were equally divided into two groups:• Group I (Control Group): Seven patients were received implant in posterior maxilla with crestal sinus lift with addition of B-TCP.• Group II (Study Group): Seven patients were received implant in posterior maxilla with crestal sinus lift without addition of any bone graft.Patients were evaluated at immediate postoperative period, then at three, six, nine and twelve months for clinical and radiographic evaluation. Radiographic evaluation involved periapical intraoral film and panoramic extraoral film. The clinical evaluation was involving assessment for implant stability, bleeding index, measuring the pocket depth as well as assessment for immediate post-operative esthetic score. The results of this study showed no statistical difference in regard of clinical and radiographical findings in both groups except for slightly increased bone gain in control group. |
