Abstract

It is established that there are considerable racial
differences in the incidence of hyperparathyroidism and
studies from various parts of the world reveal striking
epidemologic data.
In Saudi Arabia clinical experience shows that among
common affections urinary Lithiasis and duodenal ulceration
stand quite prominently. Since these two lesions
can be a manifistation of hyperparathyroidism, it seems
pertinent to explore this possibility by undertaking a
thorough investigation to clear this point.
The work is planned to submit cases of Urinary Lithiasis
and cases of Duodenal Ulcer for investigation to pick up
cases of hyperparathyroidism and explore them to search
for adenometa or hyperplasia of the parathyroid glands
