Abstract
Glucocorticoids play significant roles in carbohydrate, protein, and lipid metabolism; the immune response; and the response to stress Glucocorticoids are the most commonly used anti-inflammatory drugs. DEX is a synthetic glucocorticoid. It isused largely in treatments of human being and animals. Glucocorticoids exert their effects in all parts of the body ; and are involved in a number of physiological processe~. The ovary is also susceptible to the action of glucocorticoids; receptors for glucocorticoids are present and it is well known that the reproductive function may be impaired during periods of adrenal hyperactivity. I’The present work was conducted to investigate the direct I breffect of different concentrations of the anti-inflammatory>glucocorticoid DEXon buffalo oogenesis. (oocyte maturation), br>subsequent fertilizing capacity, ovarian steroidogenesis . and br>granulosa cell viability using an in vitro model.
