Abstract Investigative work in the past twenty years has •reately improved our understanding of parturition. ~any factors have been demonstrated to affect the responsiveness of the myometrium. The aim of the work is to study the sedative effect f metoclopramide on the first stage of labour, together ith its effect on cervical ripening, effacement and ilatation, so its overall effect on the duration of the irst stage of labour together with its effect on the tatua of the newborn using the ”Apgar” scoring system. |
