Abstract Manganese zinc ferrite was synthesized using co precipitation and ceramic method. Particle size were in the nano-size. Carbon black was used to increase the reflection loss of the incident electromagnetic waves. These compounds have been mixing with yellow lacquer to produce electromagnetic wave absorbent paint. This Paint was spread over a sheet of metal. Different thickness were used and measuring the reflection loss in the frequency range (8-18) GHz (which is the most used). The results showed that a mixture of manganese zinc ferrite (co precipitation method) and carbon black have had a better effect in the dispersion of electromagnetic waves. The results showed that a mixture of 15% of manganese zinc Ferrite (co precipitated) and 15% of carbon black, which was chosen from local sources have had a better effect in the dispersion of electromagnetic waves. The layer of paint thickness of 900 microns gave reflection loss about 70.9%, the inspection of the prepared paint meets the egyptian standard (ES) lacquer of decree number 793/2008. While the use of 30% carbon black gave a reflection loss of 76.9% but did not match such egyptian standard. |
