Abstract Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a common complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). In our study; we studied coronary artery disease in 40 diabetic and 45 non-diabetic patients. And compared the pattern of Coronary Artery Disease and Plaque Composition in Diabetic and Non-Diabetic Patients Using Multislice CT Angiography , Their CTA data were reviewed; their extent, distribution and types of plaques and luminal narrowing. CTA data depicted multi-vessel affection and diffuse atherosclerotic pattern, also non calcified and calcified plaques were common in diabetic patients and calcifications occurs earlier than non-diabetics. |
