The present study aimed to reveal the differences in various dimensions and total degree of emotional handicappedness and counseling needs with special reference to the emotionally handicapped orphan students (father orphans) who are staying with their families at the preparatory stage in light of gender and school grade and interaction between both factors in addition to examine the differences with low and high emotional handicappedness in terms of the counseling needs, dimensions, total degree with a student care proposed program, the study sample consisted of (225) male and female emotionally handicapped orphan students at the preparatory stage from public schools grade 1,2 and 3 in the villages of Aja district Dakahlia governorate in Arab Republic of Egypt, and all those lost their father in their childhood, were selected randomly, and to achieve the objectives of the study emotional handicappdness scale and a list of counseling needs prepared by researcher was used, The results of the study show that: There are statistical differences between the mean score of male and female emotionally handicapped orphan students at the preparatory stage in terms of (the total degree of the emotional handicappedness scale) in favor of the orphan students. There are null statistical differences between the mean score of the emotionally handicapped orphan students in school grades at the preparatory stage in terms of the total degree of the emotional handicappedness scale. There is null significant effect between gender and school grade in the mean score in the emotionally handicapped orphan students at the preparatory stage in terms of the total degree of emotional handicappedness scale. There are null statistical differences between the mean score of the male and female emotionally handicapped orphan student at the preparatory stage in terms of (total parental needs), (total school needs) and the (total degree of the counseling need list). There are no statistical differences between the mean score of the emotionally handicapped orphan students at the preparatory stage in the school grade in terms of the (total parental needs), (total school needs) and the (total degree of the counseling needs list).There is null significant effect between gender and school grade in the mean score of the emotionally handicapped orphan students at the preparatory stage in terms of (total parental needs), ( total school needs) and the ( total degree of the counseling needs list).There are statistical differences between the mean score of the low and high emotionally handicapped orphan students at the preparatory stage in terms of the (parental needs), (total school needs) and the (total degree of the counseling needs list) in favor of the highly emotionally handicapped orphan students, except (educational parental needs) in which the value (t) did not have a statistical difference. The researcher has prepared an action plan as to meet the different ways of the counseling needs satisfaction in both the family and the school.
