Summary of results
This chapter deals with a summary of the research problem , the study plan , the most important results that have been reached , and recommendations and proposals reached by the researcher in the light of the results .
First, a summary of the study: At the beginning of the third millennium many of the challenges and changes as a result of scientific and technological revolution , and the biggest challenges faced by educational institutions in this day and age of the media , and no exaggeration to say that the media revolution of modern forced educational systems to open new dimensions , and led to fundamental shifts , making it binding on the school to keep pace with all of this , and are looking for a way facing the negative aspects of the media and employing the positive aspects of its work in promoting education. Therefore , the relationship between education and the media a complementary relationship can not be separated .
The media and various Saúth should be an effective tool to enrich the educational process and if it’s necessary it should happen coordination and joint planning in thought and behavior between the two sides . That is why the social studies of the areas most relevant to the community they are by their nature exposure issues and social issues , characterized by overlapping dimensions of time and space where the stem of the pulse of the past and the reality and the future, may be affected by ideas , cultures and behavioral patterns of various differ with our culture and our heritage of civilization .
Notably, teaching and providing Topics Social Studies still offers style dry kills every mile for pupils to search and view and follow scientific methods in obtaining information Teacher still seen for pupils as white pages can be engraving them and the students have no role except to save the information and retrieval time of examinations which loses social Studies of the role and function .
The objectives of teaching history to face the challenges of the century atheist century, is the criticism and analysis of the attitudes and historical events after collection of original sources or secondary , so must the development in the teaching of these materials task even match the requirements of the times , especially after that was taught for long periods by traditional methods and dealing with historical texts like the texts should not approaching them, which led to inertia as a subject and its failure to achieve its objectives .
, Learning effective thinking skills is urgently needed more than ever , because the world has become more complex as a result of the challenges posed by information and communication technology in all aspects of human life , and may have been successful in meeting these challenges does not depend on the quantum of knowledge as much as it depends on how you use the knowledge and application.
Identified the problem of current research in:
Traditional teaching methods used in the teaching of history in the preparatory stage , which lose the ability to develop critical thinking , hence the issue has been identified in the search key question follows:
-How effective is the use of documentaries to develop some critical thinking skills among students in the third grade prep ?
Can be determined by the research problem in the following questions:
What critical thinking skills that must be met at the junior high school students? -1
2-What are the necessary criteria which must be based upon the documentary film that fits with the history of the third grade curriculum preparatory?
3-What image recast unit of study using documentaries appropriate for students in third grade secondary?
4-What is the effectiveness of this unit with films in development of some critical thinking skills among students in the third grade secondary?
Research hypothes
In light of the problem of the study , and her questions and the findings of previous studies , and given the choice of two unequal ( pilot officer ) has been formulated the following hypotheses for verification:
.1 There is a statistically significant difference at the level of 0.05 between the average grades of the experimental group in each of the measurement tribal and dimensional measurement in skills development as a whole for the benefit of dimensional measurement
2-There is a statistically significant difference at the level of 0.05-between the average grades of the experimental group in each of the measurement tribal and dimensional measurement in the development of the skill of interpretation as a whole and in each sub- skill for the benefit of dimensional measurement..

12-There is a statistically significant difference at the level of 0.05 between the mean scores of students of experimental and control groups in the dimensional measurement in the development of skill calendar arguments as a whole and in each sub- skill for the experimental group .
Find the limits :
Confined to the limits of this research :
1- A group of third-graders preparatory Qalubia to facilitate the application procedures .
2 - units of the history curriculum for third grade intermediate second semester ( 2012-2013 AD) .
3 - measure the effectiveness of teaching the unit selected using documentaries in the development of some critical thinking skills . ( Interpretation skill - the skill and knowledge of the assumptions for granted - Skill conclusion - Skill elicitation - Skill calendar arguments )
- Notes from previous studies that addressed current research that the researcher did not find one Egyptian study addressed the use of documentaries in the development of thinking skills and critical thinking to any particular stage of education
- Out of all of the above , the researcher conducting the current study .
Research Methodology :
Adopted the current research on :
1- descriptive approach : This is the theoretical framework of the research, and building tools.
2 - the experimental method : This is in determining the effectiveness of the use of documentaries in the development of critical thinking I have a junior high school students .
Search procedures :
-1 Determine the criteria upon which the selection of documentaries and through:
- Research study and previous studies of Arab and foreign countries.
- The study of the modern global trends .
- The nature and objectives of the material history of the preparatory phase
- The nature and characteristics of the growth phase of the prep students
-2 choose and buy documentaries according to the above criteria and history curriculum for the preparatory phase .
-3 Preparation Guide student to study the unit standards set out on documentaries for the development of critical thinking skills .
4-Preparation of the teacher’s guide for the teaching of the unit standards set out on documentaries for the development of critical thinking skills .
-5Preparation and research tools which were represented in the test of critical thinking skills and adjust.
-6 select a sample search of prep school students and divided them into two groups ( control group – experimental) .
7 - the application of research tools on the tribal research sample ( control group - experimental ).
8 - Teaching Unity documentaries selected using the experimental group without control .
9 - the application of research tools Uday Ali research sample ( control group – experimental).
10 - monitoring results and statistically processed and interpreted.
11 - provide a set of recommendations and proposals .
Second, the search results :
By the results of the study , which outlined the previous tables is clear to us the following:
1- evidenced by the results of the current study, the development of critical thinking skills , which proves that the validity of the use of documentary films that have been selected to teach the unit.
2- interesting parameter and enthusiasm in teaching using documentaries as well as emotion schoolgirls and Thmeshn and their active participation in watching these films , it was the researcher ’s role in it for the selected parameter enthusiastic to make the experience as well as training on how to implement and pursued consistently during the experiment and the implementation process also followed the reaction of students and were received for information through the film and how to activate their minds and followed in their activities .
3- results showed that the use of documentary films have achieved the desired results if they take into account the characteristics of learners and the level of mental and linguistic them , and with good training for teachers on how to choose films that fit school students prep for the level of mental and linguistic content of the history curriculum have .
4- Results of the study also revealed the importance of the use of documentaries about the high level of research sample students in the development of critical thinking skills as a whole for the benefit of post application after eating a unity which shows the effectiveness of documentary films to enrich the teaching positions .
5- The study revealed the high level of skill in the interpretation of the pupils in the ( identify the problem clearly - Analyze and explain concepts - is aware of the relationships between causes and effects ) in the test for the post application through the study of the unit through documentaries .
6- The study revealed the high level of students in the skill and knowledge of Muslim women in the assumptions (compared postulates and assumptions that reflect the issues - reorganize and installation information ) test for the post application and the use of documentary films .
7- The study revealed high skill level of students in finding information ( opt opinions which confirm the information - infer results based on the information available ) for a reconciliation of the post after taking the unit through documentaries .
8- The study revealed high skill level of students in the elicitation ( specify reasons in light of the information - determines the historical evidence that confirms validity of the data - distinguish between primary and secondary causes in the data ) in the test for the post application .
9- The study revealed high skill level of students in the calendar arguments ( analyzes the reasons in the list of provisions - distinguishes between the original sources and secondary schools in the test for the post application .
10- from the above results indicate the effectiveness of the independent variable in the use of documentary films teaching for the development of critical thinking skills that have been identified (Interpretation - Muslim and defaults - conclusion - elicitation - Evaluating arguments
Recommendations:
where results indicated the importance of the use of documentaries in the development of critical thinking skills , so the researcher recommends the following:
1- draw the attention of the operators of the importance of educational contracting with companies or channels specialized in the production of documentary films to suit every stage of education .
2- a lot of the production of documentary films , especially the history of the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman and Islamic world.
3- The need to work documentaries fit each age group separately or method used up to all stages
4- the need to hold training sessions for teachers to practice teaching positions using documentaries for the development of critical thinking skills .
5- to encourage students to practice activities associated with the curriculum to enable students to develop critical thinking skills
6- The need to prepare guides for teachers dealing with different teaching methods that contribute to the development of critical thinking .
7- The need to pay attention to when planning the curriculum and the allocation of units of social studies curriculum is teaching them through documentaries even increase the motivation of students toward the article .
8- when implementing teaching positions must take into account aspects of technique more than a focus on the cognitive aspects .
9- the need to provide labs and multimedia within schools to show documentaries and to develop their teaching positions .

Proposals :
Through the current study and in the light of the results indicated there were some situations that could be topics for studies and research , and these problems include the following :
1- How effective is the use of distance education for the development of critical thinking skills for students in the preparatory stage .
2- How effective is the use of documentaries in the development of historical thinking skills and a tendency toward material to high school students .
