Abstract Coagulase production has been accepted as the main test for differentiating pathogenic species of staphylococci from commensal strains. In our research, we thought we could clarify the significance of staphylococcal protien A as a virulence factor of staphylococci and compare between it and coagulase test in staphlococcal strains. Protien A detection was done by staphytect kit which is a latex slide agglutination test. |
