nnticen positive hepatitis runs a more difficult
and prolol\ged course than heputitis A (HA), therefore
attempts of active treatment for overcoming the
virus would be a great step in its management and in
the avoidance of chronic complications.
Although the pathogenesis of acute viral htpatitis
is understood, virus initiates immunological disturbances
which led to hepatic cell injury, the indications
of immunostimulatory therapy are that this devastating
liver disease is mainly associated with hepatic virus.
If this hypothesis is correct why, instead of immunosuppressiont
not try to improve the patient’s immunity
and help to eliminate viral infection? This idea
ha.a been tested with levemisole and BCG vaccine, both
are potent, mostly cell-mediated, stimulator of the
defence syst
