Abstract
A review is made of the literature concerning the complexes of cobalt(II) nickel(II) chronium(III), zinc(II) and cadnium (II) with bidentate ligands and of some of the physicochemical methods used to deternine the composition of complexes in solution, the nature of metal-ligand bond and the structure of the solid complexes.A description is given of the preparation, isolation and analysis of pure solid semicarbazide, thiosemicarbazide and acetone semicarbazone complexes of the studied metals together with the complexes of fe III with 4-carbethoxy-3-hydroxy carbostyril ester and 4-carbethoxy-1-methy1-3-hydroxy carbostyril.
