Students’ Dorms have become an integral part of
university ife. Universities have to create a
complete coli igiate 1 i Fe intellectually, and
psychologically: Intellectual facilities by p!·oviding
good lecture-Halls, libraries .. etc; psychological
facilities by providing residential accommodations
that would give the required family atmosphere.
These considrations have led to the conclusion
that a new era of planning and design for students’
Dorms is begining, an era which will see 1nany factors
heretofore not taken into account.
