Abstract Intestinal obstruction is one of the most common emergencies in the practice of pediatrics surgery. Intussusception is the most common type of acquired intestinal obstruction while Hirschsprung disease is the most common type of congenital intestinal obstruction. This conditions are often require surgical interference. Nursing staff play a unique role in caring of the children during the period of surgery ,so they should improve their knowledge and practice to give the children with intestinal obstruction the ideal nursing care. The present study aimed to assess the quality of nursing interventions provided to children with intestinal obstruction. The study used a descriptive design. It was conducted at pediatric surgical department of Tanta University Hospital and surgical Department of Kafr Elsheikh General Hospital. The sample of this study included 50 nurses working in the previously mentioned setting. |
