Abstract

EVLA appears to be a safe and effective treatment of venous insufficiency. As a minimally invasive technique, it is a popular choice for both patients and physicians. The procedure has high immediate technical success, a short recovery time, and good cosmetic results. Minor complications are frequent but usually temporary and self-limited, and major complications are rare. EVLA is an efficient treatment method for the treatment of the GSV, the SSV, and other truncal venous insufficiencies, achieving good short-term and long-term results.
Radiofrequency ablation is a minimally invasive procedure used in the treatment of varicose veins. It is an alternative to the traditional stripping operation. The indications for RFA are comparable to EVLT, except that withRFA it is more difficult to treat veins with diameters greater than 12mm.
There is sufficient evidence to conclude that ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy is a safe and effective treatment for superficial truncal saphenous incompetence as well as for varices. This treatment is suitable for the management of primary uncomplicated varices, recurrent varicose veins and patients with lipodermatosclerosis.
Ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy (UGFS) is widely used in many countries to eradicate superficial venous reflux (SVR). UGFS leads to significant improvements in symptoms, venous hemodynamics, and disease-specific, generic health related quality of life and is also associated with high levels of patient satisfaction and significantly less morbidity and a quicker return to normal activities than surgery. In the short term, the results of UGFS, radiofrequency (RFA), and endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) appear quite similar, although UGFS is probably more cost-effective.
To reach our aim in treatment of any case is good choice of optimal case to be treated with best method of treatment to achieve best results with best cosmetic appearance and least complications.
