Abstract In this study 50 pregnant women were rolled in a prospective and comparative studyfrom both the attendants of outpatient clinic and wards of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department in Tanta University Hospital.All participants were selected to fulfill the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the study and divided into two groups: Group A: 25 pregnant women with previous normal pregnancies. Group B: 25 pregnant women with recurrent unexplained early pregnancy loss (≥2 previous abortions).All women were subjected to full history taking, general examination,local examination, ultrasound and laboratory investigations.Serum level of Leptin and Insulin hormones were measured. First sample was taken at 5-8th weeks of gestations and another at 10-12th weeks.There was no statistical significant difference between the two groups as regard age, BMI and gravidity.There was significant difference between both groups as regarding parity as it was lower in group B. According to pregnancy outcome, there was significant difference between cases completed 20th week of gestation or aborted in both groups as cases aborted were higher in group B. |
