Abstract The original work of the present thesis is to synthesize some new pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine derivatives and study some of their reactions. Since pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine derivatives have received a great attention due to their versatile pharmacological activities, so, some of the prepared compounds were tested for their antitumor and antioxidant activities. Thus, when 4-chloro-1-(9-methyl-5,6-dihydronaphtho- [1’,2’:4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-11-yl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]- pyrimidine (3) was treated with different primary or secondary cyclic amines (hydrazine hydrate, ethylamine, phenylethylamine, benzylamine, glucosamine hydrochloride, glycine, phenylhydrazine, ethylenediamine, piperidine, cyclohexylamine, morpholine or piperazine), the reaction afforded the corresponding 4-substituted aminopyrazolo[3,4- d]pyrimidines 4-15 (Scheme 1). |
