Abstract Brain tumors are often deadly, impact quality of life, and change everything for patients and their loved ones. Therefore, measuring quality of life in those patient is important especially as Patients with primary brain tumors face serious challenges to their QOL. They have difficulties with general symptoms such headache, Quality of life (QOL) is a concept that encompasses the multidimensional well-being of a person and reflects an individual’s overall satisfaction with life. QOL is a broad term that involves several dimensions, including physical or functional status, emotional well-being, and social well-being.. Therefore the aim of the present study is to determine the impact of relaxation technique on health related quality of life in brain tumor patients. The study was conducted in at outpatient clinic of neurology at Mansoura University Hospital, Egypt The data was collected from 50 adult patients with brain tumor. Three tools were used in this study, Socio-demographic sheet, and The Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General (FACT-G) Scale. Relaxation technique observational checklist. The results of this study indicated that there was statistically significant difference on the total all four quality of life domains between experimental and control group post application relaxation technique. |
