Abstract The aim of the present thesis is a simulation for turbulent flow in order to predict velocity, pressure and temperature field for the centrifugal pump. CFD was used to solve the governing equations of the flow. K-ԑ and RNG are used for the present case. There are four cases had been studied, Five blades and six blades with two different temperature hot and normal. The performance was validated with the manufactured, previous work and it was accepted. It was found that turbulence is higher in five blades impeller than the six one. Also it was found that the higher temperature gives higher pressure but in small ranges that can be neglected. The position of blade with respect to the volute tongue makes variation distance, and depend on that it was noticed that the higher distance, the higher separation is detected. |
