Abstract

Acute leukemia, comprising acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) represents a clonal malignant transformation of blood forming cells that arise from the bone marrow or the lymphoid organs and which are often associated with fundamental geneticabnormalities.
