Abstract
The incidence of retrosternal goiter (RSG) ranges from 0.2% to 45% the wide range of incidence is due to the lack of consensus on the definition of RSG . A lot of controversy is seen regarding the management of RSG . In this study we retrospectively analyzed 73 patients with retrosternal goiter 1481 patients undergoing surgical treatment for thyroid goiters between January 2000 and December 2009 in the National Cancer Institute in Cairo Egypt.
