Abstract
The function of many metals in the tissues is to activate enzymes but this must be done at fairly definite concentrations if the concentration is exceeded then the metal may start to inhibit the enzyme it was previously activating or other enzynes by blocking the active altes such as sulfhydry1 groups which are responsible for catalytic activity.
