Abstract
Schistosomiasis is the major health problem in Egypt it is also an international problem affecting the health and welfare of individuals and interfering with progress and development of the community is one of the most widespread parasitic infection of man and is second only to malaria in socioeconomic and public health importance in tropical and subtropical areas yet there is little reliable information on world prevalence morbidity or mortality on which the planning and implementation of central measures could be based larotski and davis 1981.
