Abstract

a literature survey is given which deals with the following field of interest Effect of solvent character which is mainly concerned in studying the concepts of acid-base classification of solvents Study of ion-solvent interaction Medium effect and its relation with the activity of a certain species (i) in two given media, and the determination of medium effect for electrolyte Electrostatic contribution to the standard free energy by Born equation and the attempts that have been made to improve such a treatment Structure and properties of hydrogen bonded mixed solvents solvent effects on enthalpy and entropy changes. g) Relevance of Tris-(hydroxymethyl)-aminomethane Experimental techniques, purification of materials, the preparation of solutions are described in chapter II.
