Abstract
The present study was conducted to evaluate the hygienic condition of main water sources in Menofia governorate.
To fulfill the aim of the study, Ninety-two (92) water samples (60 Surface water samples and 32 well water samples) from different sites in the Menoufia governorate were collected at Jan. 2014and Sep. 2014. All water samples examined physically, chemically and microbiologically.
Twenty (20)representative sampling locations throughout the seven principal tributaries of River Nile in Menofia governorate(Raiyah El.Minufiya, Raiyah El.Beheira, Raiyah El.Nasiri, Bahr Shibin, El.Qasid Canal, El.Ninaiya canal, and El.Baguriya Canal) were selected. Three samples were obtained from each Location during winter closure (Low flow condition) Jan 2014.
