Abstract Cancer continues to represent the largest cause of mortality and the major public health problem in most parts of the world although, it can be easily managed if it is diagnosed early especially if there is periodic surveillance but, it is usually discovered too late so, the treatment is multimodal and requires surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy which has many side effects. Cancer has many causes but oxidative stress seems to be one of the major mechanisms incriminated in the pathogenesis of cancer. Ehrlich tumor is one of the transplantable tumor models which is used to investigate the effect of different drugs on tumor. It has the advantage of rapid growth rate and easy tumor palpation and caliper measurement in the subcutenous location |
