Abstract

This report talks about the comparison between two main types of cooling towers { counter flow and cross flow } which consists of five chapters. Chapter one involves general introduction contains a brief explanation of cooling towers and the main concept of their operation. Chapter two consists of three partitions which represent the classifications of cooling towers relying on flow passages for air and water, in addition to, advantages and disadvantages for each one. chapter three and chapter four illustrate the design analysis for counter and cross flow gradually with equations executed by excel programmer. Finally, chapter five concludes the results induced from the design analysis.
