Abstract

In fact, the Arab Republic of Egypt is characterized by a its unique location as it locates in the far northeast corner of the continent of Africa and connected to the continent of Asia via the Sinai Peninsula to the west. Egypt is bordered from the North by Mediterranean Sea and from the east the by Red Sea and Sinai. As for the south, it was bordered by the Sudan. As for the west border, it shares its borders with Libya.
Egypt has an area of about 1002000 km2, and God has endowed it many natural elements that provide it with a unique position on the tourist map. In addition, it is the cradle of the most ancient civilizations of the world, which left behind a rich heritage with a unique blend, that attract tourism enthusiasts.
This is along with the appropriate environment for exercising the tourism activity throughout the seasons of the year, as well as its diversity of tourist products. It is an integrated tourist destination in addition to its historical and cultural heritage as well as the multiplicity of natural and environmental elements.
According to the location for the equator, Egypt falls within the tropical dry region except the northern part as it overlooks the Mediterranean Sea that falls within the moderate warm area.
Egypt has the biggest tourist capital in the whole world. However, it gets almost the least tourist income , Perhaps, No country in the world enjoy these tourism attractions, components or services like Egypt, not only by virtue of the its location, subject, geography and history, but also by virtue of its civilization, culture, art and religion.
Perhaps Egypt is the only country that brings together all kinds of tourism known in all contemporary rankings such as geographical and historical tourism as well as nature tourism, antiquities tourism, summer and winter tourism, river, desert, and mountains tourism. Not to mention the religious, cultural, health and entertainment tourism…etc.”
This is in addition to its location amidst the richest regions, the petroleum Middle East to the right and Western Europe to the north. However, Egypt’s share of tourism never went up to the global level. It is sorrowful and unfortunate to find counter- tourism spending abroad by Egyptians is higher than spending of the foreign tourism inboard, namely the Egyptian tourism balance sheet is losing in time when the tourist slogan in some European countries became ”Tourist for Every Citizen.
