Background: When the reality is actually being cruel and events are hard one cannot afford, we must strengthen the containment of negative emotions and adaptation capabilities, which rely on cognitive abilities in Adaptive Unconscious based on input cognitive directed to deal with the events as Personal experiences to gain a sense of self determination. Aim: investigating the effectiveness of counseling program based on characteristics of self– determined personality to support the psychological immune system for reducing the psychological alienation. Sample: The study sample consisted of Palestinian universities students in Gaza Governorates, which amounted to (661) students of (251 M), (410 F), with an average age (18.7 years) and SD (1.52). The sample was divided into three groups: experimental (15), control (15) and standard group (20 students).The case study group consists of (4 students), positive case (2), negative case (2). Tools: The researcher Prepared (counseling Programme, Psychological immune system scale, Psychological alienation scale, Clinical interview form, and Self-Project Questioner). Autonomy scale (Weinstein et al., 2012) Basic Psychological needs scale (Deci & Ryan, 2000). Mindfulness scale (Brown & Ryan, 2003). Intrinsic Aspirations scale (Kaseer & Ryan, 1995). Personal trait of Eysenck. Results: Psychological immune system positively associated with terms of characteristics of self-determined personality, (Autonomy “r=0.51” psychological needs “r=0.55”, Mindfulness “r=0.60”, Intrinsic Aspirations “r=0.35”). characteristics of Self-determined personality help to predict the Competence of the psychological immune system by Relative weight (82%). The psychological immune system correlated inversely with psychological alienation (r=-0.78) and it interpreted value (63.7%) of the psychological alienation. Counseling program has achieved effective in strengthening the psychological immune system for the experimental group. The total value of the square ETA College of psychological immune system of degree (0.88), and the effect size (2.72). The clinical study Confirmed that the competence of the psychological immune system depends on the positive perception of (ideal self- early childhood experiences- parental treatment), positive emotions to remember past experiences, the adaptation with the trauma experiences which make up the motivation of development and growth, positive illusions for enhanced realism in the context of a set versus unrealistic, positive coping strategies to defend Ego defense mechanisms, positive personal trait, satisfaction basic psychological needs, intrinsic motivation and integration extrinsic motivation to defend extrinsic motivation (externally- introjection). Conclusion: Self-determinants is an integrated system leads to mental health, which support the effectiveness of psychological immune system to overcome the extreme negative feelings, in order to maintain balance and stability of the conscience of the individual, and that feeling of alienation resulting from poor self and social adjustment and the weakness of the system psychological immune.
