Abstract In the above Essay, we reviewed in brief the importance of the restoration of the femoral offset and leg length after total hip replacement and bipolar arthroplasty. We then discussed imaging studies used and methods of preoperative planning. Furtherwards, we stated the different method used to minimize leg length inequality and restore offset and also stated the clinical method used in our department. Later on, we discussed postoperative rehabilitation of patients and postoperative functional evaluation of patient either radiological and functional.
