Abstract In the present study, five Egyptian cultivars of commercially hexaploid bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) namely Giza 163, Giza 164, Sakha 8, Sids 1, Sids 5 and cross combinations among them (10 F1 hybrids) were used as the anthers donors for anther culture induction and the subsequent regenerations of haploid and diploid plants. The data showed highly significant differences for all studied traits In addition to study of genetical and cytological features of induced calli and regenerated plants, this work also included the examination of agronomical and cytological performance of regenerated plants and thier fertility. Also the responce of formed anther calli of Giza 163, Giza 164, Sids 5 cultivars and Giza 164 x Sids 5 F1 hybrid to establish of cell suspention calture was studied. Highly significant differences among genotypes were observed for number of micro-calli/1ml cell suspension. Studied gametoclonal variations among derived gametoclons lines of R1, R2 and R3 generations of 6 Egyptian bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars (Giza 139, Giza 163, Giza 164, Giza 165, Sids 2 and Sids 5) as agronomic and cytological performance compared with their donor plants. showed highly significant differences for all studied traits. |
