Abstract Treatment of sewage sludge by anaerobic fermentation is considered the best way for disposal of pathogenic bacteria, parasitic organisms and limiting infectious diseases spreading. In addition to production of compost used safely as fertilizer to agricultural crops. Not only that but also production of biogas. Therefore the objective of this study was to investigation the suitable conditions, parameters which affecting on biogas and methane production and its quality . So, we can utilize many wastewater plants present in Egypt to solve fuel and energy problem. The feasibility for cost benefits shown that, the expected quantity of biogas per day according our experiments from Dakahlya, Mansoura and all WWTPs in Egypt is 17271, 7098.4 and 480850.55 m3/day respectively. |
