Abstract 100 raw milk samples were collected randomly from different dairy farms and individual dairy animals (n=50 for each) at Kafrelsheikh Governorate. These samples examined for Somatic cell count (SCC) and bacteriologically, resulted in the mean of SCC in the examined farm and individual raw milk samples were 4.66 x 105 ± 1.45 x 105 and 2.23 x 105 ± 0.358 x 105 cell/ml, respectively. E. coli incidence in the examined farm and individual raw milk samples were 32% and 40%, respectively. The incidence of staphylococci in the examined samples were 100% with the mean value of 2.26 x104 ± 0.375 x 104 and 9.23 x 104 ± 1.87 x 104cfu/ml, respectively, S. aureus was isolated from 32% and 40% of examined farm and individual raw milk samples, respectively. While enterotoxigenic S. aureus was 18.75% and 25%, respectively. Salmonella was detected in 10% and 8% in the examined samples, respectively. Also Y.enterocolitica were detected in 18% and 30%, respectively. Additionally, antimicrobial resistance of E.coli and S.aureus were all isolates of E.coli highly resisted to streptomycin, while all isolates of S. aureus highly resisted to sulphamethoxazol. |
