Abstract In this study a total of (32) New Zealand white rabbits of 3-4 months old and weighing about 2-2.5 kg were purchased from a private rabbitary without previous history of RHDV outbreaks or vaccination against RHDV. They were classified into 4 groups as the following Effect on total leukocyticcount, Effect on differential leukocytic count, Phagocytic activity % and phagocytic index, Effect on serum nitric oxide level, Effect on serum lysozyme activity, Effect of ivermectin on humoralimmunity, Effect on serum total protein ,albumin and globulin levels and Effect on serum protein fractions (%): There was non-significant change in alpha, beta and gamma globulin percentages in vaccinated treated group compared with vaccinated non – treated group in 1st , 2nd and 3rd weeks of the study. A significant increase in beta and gamma globulin percentages in vaccinated non– treated group in comparison with control group. But there was non –significant change in alpha globulin percentage through the period of the study . A significant increase in beta and gamma globulin percentages in non-vaccinated treated group in comparison with control group. But there was non–significant change in alpha globulin percentage in 1st , 2nd and 3rd day of the study. |
