Abstract
Results revealed a significant increase in blood glucose levels in groups, and M after 15 and 30 days compared to C group. There was a significant dectease in blood glucose levels after 45 and 60 days of treatment in G.Q and M groups compared to D group . Also there was a significant decrease in MDA concentration in G, Q and M groups compared to D group, while there was a significant increase in liver SOD enzyme activity and liver GSH concentration in G,Q and M groups compared to D group . G group showed a significant decrease in TC, TG, LDL and VLDL levels, accompanied with a significant increase in HDL level as compared with D group. Moreover, Q group showed a significant decrease in TC, TG, LDL and VLDL levels accompanied with significant increae in HDL level.
