Abstract

Problem of the study: Digital environment has several advantages over analogue environment, including: quality of multimedia content in a digital form is best in analogue counterparts, ease of editing, ease of copying and ease of transmission over networked systems. On the contrary, there are difficulties in the protection of property rights of multimedia content against piracy, claim and forgery. Therefore, it is important to use some kind of security systems to protect the property rights of multimedia content in digital society. Importance of the study: The importance of the current study are as follows: 1- Surveying the existing digital watermarking schemes. 2- Designing a novel robust digital watermarking scheme for copyright protection of digital color image. 3- Proposing a novel fragile digital watermarking scheme for content authentication of digital color video. 4- Introducing a framework based on the proposed schemes. 5- Proving the effectiveness of the proposed framework using application scenarios of copyright protection and tamper detection. Tools of the study: The researcher used in this study, the following tools: 1- MATLAB Simulink 2013 a. 2- MySQL Workbench 6. Results: The most important results of the study are: • The proposed CP watermarking scheme achieves rates of quality(average PSNR= 52.47 dB) which are higher than default value(20 - 40 dB). • The proposed CP scheme achieves rates of robustness (average NCC=0.9982) which are always greater, than the agreed rates (NCC=0.75 or more). • The proposed CA watermarking scheme achieves average PSNR= 47.92 dB which higher than default value. • The proposed CA scheme outperforms its counterparts in identifying the tampered area of the video frame under most types of common.
