Abstract
the student presents a brief review of the pharmaceutical drugs always used for the treatment of various types of cancer with special reference to the three drugs dacarbazine, flutamide and emodin. This part includes also the chemical formulas of dacarbazine, flutamide and emodin in addition to their uses.the student explains the following:
-Ways of preparation of drugs and buffer solutions.
-Treatment of the biological fluids (human urine and serum
-The electrolytic cell, electrodes and the polarization circuit.
the results obtained on the cyclic voltammetric behaviour of dacarbazine under different experimental conditions including: solution pH and concentration, as well as, potential scanning rate is clarified. A perfect calibration curve between the concentration of the drug and the current of the only obtained cathodic reduction peak is obtained the results obtained on the cyclic voltammetric behaviour of flutamide under the experimental conditions reported before are discussed. The technique is extended also for the determination of the drug in one of its pharmaceutical formulation in addition to the biological fluids (human urine and serum).
