Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of Al3+ stress: 0. 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50mM Al2 (SO4)3 16 H2O on growth, productivity and some related physiological activities of sorghum cv. Giza 15 and maize cultivars cv. Hagean 323 and a distinct variation of aluminum tolerance of these cultivars. Also, particular interest was focused on the effect of compost on stressed plants to alleviate or at least modify the pattern of changes induced by aluminum stress.
