Abstract
Water is essential for all life forms on the earth, plants, animals and human, etc. The demand of the fresh water is increasing due to the population growth and rapid industrialization. Ocean is the only available source for large amount of water. But the ocean water contains high salinity, so it needs to desaline the water. Desalination methods use large amount of energy (fossil fuels) to remove a portion of pure water from a salt-water source.
