Abstract
Al baraka oil field is part of the NW-SE trending komombo basin which is located directly to the west of nile river in komobo area. it represents the first oil producing field in upper egypt.it contains four main pay zones the abu ،ballas the six hills E and the komombo A Pay zones. the present study aimed at evaluating the petrolum potential of the field by carrying out geological and geochemical interpretation of some available data in the area.
