Dissertation Abstract The Study aims to assessing the effectiveness of organizing the content of Physics material according to the Elaboration Learning Model in the student’s Thinking skills of the 1st secondary school students. The sample was selected stochastically, and consist of (80) students. It is divided into two groups, The experimental group consists of (40) student and the control group consists of (40) student. The Thinking skills test was prepared by the researcher, after that some kind of validity are ensured and reliability coefficient was calculated by using Homogeneity coefficient by Kuder-Richardson, The instruction of both group has started during the second semester of the academic year 2014-2015.Results of the study :After collecting data T-Test for two independent group was used to investigate that there are significant differences at the standard of (a=0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental group Which is taught according to Elaboration Theory and the mean scores of control group which is taught according to the traditional method in the thinking skills test. The study recommended to do more similar researches in the different educational stages by using Reigeluth’s Elaboration learning model, farther more the researcher recommends the education ministry to give instruction for specialist experts to reform the physics syllabus according to Reigeluth’s Elaboration learning model, The study also recommended the training teachers program’s before and through the service should include the training on using the Reigeluth’s Elaboration learning model.Key word :1.Expanded learning model 2.Basics of the model 3.Thinking 4.Thinking Skills 5. Teaching physics 6. Developing thinking skills. The Study aims to assessing the effectiveness of organizing the content of Physics material according to the Expanded Learning Model in the student’s Achievement and Thinking skills of the 1st secondary school students. The sample was selected stochastically, and consist of (80) students.
