Abstract

Several studies have reported that patients with an experience of psychotic illness who experience auditory hallucinations feel anger, agitation, irritation and inability to attend activities of daily life especially if their auditory hallucinations occurred frequently. There are many coping strategies voice-hearers can use to challenge the voices, impose their own limits and thus regain some control. In consequence coping with auditory hallucination is one of the major goals of nursing psycho education for psychotic patients.
