The internal situation in the Republic of Mali after independence 1960 - 1977 - where Mali is one of the French-speaking West African countries – after the control of French colonial rule in 1891. Mali continued to be under the French occupation until 1960, and followed the French oppression policy, and sought to make the indigenous population imitating the French, and changing the name Mali to be (the French Sudan).
France also worked on the annexation of its colonies in West Africa in one group known in the modern African history as (the French group). France considered itself the political representative of all the peoples of this group. As a result of the colonial policy . exploitation of its economy, its natural resources, and manpower, and other labor works imposed on the citizens of French-speaking West Africa, where Mali is a part of it. That policy led to the emergence of numerous bodies and groups in African society, which had a role in moving the feelings of the masses, and the growing degree of national consciousness especially the intellectuals’ class. Therefore, Africans’ calls for meeting their demands to exercise their rights and express their. This has led to the emergence of political parties included in the membership of these groups. These parties called to achieve the demands of the Africans, most important of these parties, the African Democratic Rally Party, which was one of the first major manifestations of the political maturity in Africa in general. This party has branches in Francophone West Africa. As the political parties led their countries to full independence, the African Democratic Rally Party can be considered the nucleus of this independence. In Mali all categories of the financial community joined the Sudanese Union Party led by Modibo Keita who led the country to independence, and the party became the ruling party in the country. On the eve of independence in 1960 Mali adopted a one-, which became the case over the two decades after independence.
