This study deals with (political relations between Iraq and the Soviet Union 1968-1991m), has chosen a researcher in 1968 to start his studies because the general who Baathists second coup in Iraq and seized power, ending the study in 1991, the year which saw the end of the second Gulf War and the collapse of the Union Soviet superpower in the world.It is intended researcher relations between Iraq and the Soviet Union that direct bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as conflicting and similarities of some regional and international issues of attitudes, as well as aspects of cooperation and coordination between the two countries in international forums and in the face of different situations, with surrounding clash points and disagreement about issues and other positions.The importance of research in trying to recruit new research tools and mechanisms in historical research and recruitment of Iraqi quantum of knowledge and heritage of the Soviet and with a view to the fact that the development of the Iraqi - Russian relations. And the factors that prompted the researcher to choose this topic: the importance of the Soviet alliance - Iraqi in the evolution of the events of the region, and the centrality of the Kurdish question in the Iraqi-Soviet relations that have been affected the evolution of the Kurdish movement positively and negatively, and the importance of the repercussions of the first Gulf War (1980_1988m) and the second Gulf War (1990_ 1991) on relations Iraqi-Soviet, in addition to many other factors.The study is divided into an introduction and five chapters, and a conclusion, supplements and a list of sources: the first chapter was titled (the development of the Iraqi-Soviet relations before 1968), and Chapter II (internal policy developments of the Iraqi in the light of the relations with the Soviet Union), and the third chapter (the Kurdish question in relations Iraqi-Soviet), and the title of Chapter IV (Soviet-Iraqi relations in the two Gulf Wars I and II) framework, and Chapter V (Soviet Iraqi attitudes toward the Arab and international issues).The researcher has adopted a series of published and foreign published Arabic documents, especially the Iraqi government documents Foreign Ministry of the United States, and a number of scientific messages, as well as Arabic and Kurdish, Persian and foreign references and a number of research studies and periodicals.
