Abstract

According to the present results, one can concluded that :
This pot experiment was conducted during the two successive seasons of 2013 and 2014 in Fac. of Agric. Nursery located at Minia Univ., Minia Governorate .
The aim of this study was studying of the response and tolerance of transplants of four grapevine cvs, Superior, Crimson seedless, Ruby seedless and Flame seedless to salinity and lime in the soil.
It is suggested to plant grapevine cv Flame seedless on their own root in sandy soil characterized with salinity (0.2%) or had calcium carbonate ( at 10%) . In such soil it is possible for growing Ruby seedless grapevine cv when salinity level was 0.1 %, or contained lime at 5%.
It is preferable for preventing the plantation of Crimson seedless and Superior grapevine cv in saline or calcareous sandy soil.
Salinity at 0.4% and lime at 20 % in the soil caused a great damage to transplants of all the tested grapevine cvs. Flame seedless, Ruby seedless, crimson seedless and Superior.
