Abstract
The two fixation techniques for olecranon fractures used in this work were tension band with K-wires, and olecranon plate fixation.
Tension band with K-wire is indicated for all transverse fractures and less for oblique fractures, while olecranon plate fixation is more indicated in oblique fractures.
Anatomic olecranon plate is not recommended in most simple non-comminuted olecranon fractures when tension band is the gold standard method for this fractures.
