Abstract The studies presented in this thesis describe the preparation and investigation of performance characteristics of new polymeric membrane, coated wire and modified carbon paste sensors for determination of benzydamine hydrochloride . The sensors are based on ion-associates formed from the ion-association of the drug cation with anion of phosphotungstate, phosphomolybdate and reineckate . The sensors were constructed and fully characterized in terms of composition, life span, response time, usable pH range, working concentration range and temperature. The proposed sensors were successfully applied for determination of benzydamine cation in bulk powder, pharmaceutical formulation and biological fluids ( urea and plasma ). Keywords: Benzydamine hydrochloride; Polymeric membrane sensors; Coated wire sensors; Modified carbon paste sensors; Pharmaceutical formulation; Biological fluids. |
