Abstract

Sustainable development is a top priority in all parts of the world and the developing countries in particular, and one of the most important issues in the field of urban planning is the right label and the right use of the land use for the best sustainable mode. There is absolutely necessary to adopt a multidisciplinary approach to the problem of deterioration in the construction, expansion and increase urban and high human and expansion in particular on agricultural land without any drawn plans and randomly, and proven remote sensing techniques and systems Aljgerlvih information it’s cheap techniques cost and have a large capacity to best plans put and future proposals to maintain the correct farmland expansion in the construction and transport networks are guaranteed to get the best sustainable future development. Field of research: the use of data and techniques of remote sensing and GIS and of images of Landsat TM information in 1984 and ETM + in 2002 and 2011 and OLI-TIRS in 2014, as well as aerial photographs HD for the years 2001.2008 and 2014.Find objectives: monitoring and analysis of urban growth over the long term in the province of Diwaniyah in Iraq, a business model for the direction of urban growth in the city of Diwaniya, and study the impact of urban growth and population density on the road network. Steps of the study: to access to remote sensing data and of images of Landsat of her official web site (free of charge) and to improve them and analyzed using months chidren visual analysis (ERDAS Imagine ver. 2014) and (ENVI ver. 5.1) and (ArcGIS desktop ver. 10.2) and draw their required data and then to evaluate the criteria used in the classification of Lands study area accuracy during the study period, as well as to do an analysis of the most important for the best of the proposed land for housing for the city of Diwaniya, through the use of aerial photographs HD and rely on Iraqi standards, as well as evaluate the intensity and distribution of the road network for the mass construction using a universal indicators own production to construction, agricultural land and road network maps and the most important candidate areas for the best sustainable development of the province of Diwaniyah - Iraq. Summary of the study: remote sensing technology and geographic information systems provide tools can be less expensive and more accurate and effective to give the most accurate information for decision-makers as soon as possible, and the results revealed a large deficit in the amount of land allocated for housing for 2014 as well as the target year 2033, as well as a large deficit in the road network if Makornt increase urban indiscriminate and massive study recommended the need to increase for annual cultivation and reclamation of agricultural land if we want to get the best sustainable agricultural development have been proposed zonal agricultural reclamation in the study area.
