المستخلص

Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a fourth generation standard for wireless communications of high data speed at the user terminal. This evolved technology needs a cutting edge system component to be designed for the node B (Base station) and the user mobile device. In any wireless device, the performance of radio communications depends on the design of an efficient antenna. The first part of this thesis, we design and simulate a printed Meander Line Antenna (MLA) suitable for use within LTE mobile terminals. The designed MLA has Low Specific Absorption Rate (SAR (W/kg)-10 g) equal (0.128), Bandwidth of (57 MHz) with compact size (37.5 × 30 × 1.1) 𝑚𝑚3 for first design operation frequency 2.4 GHz .and for second design of MLA operation frequency 2.5 GHz the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR (W/kg)-10 g) equal (0.273), Bandwidth of (57 MHz) with compact size (32 × 28 × 1.1) 𝑚𝑚3.
In the last part we design, simulate and fabricate Multiband Hand Held Antenna with E-shaped Monopole Feeding. Simulation on CST 2014 program and HFSS v12. The results of measure simulation and simulation confirm.
The fabricated antenna has been examined using the four recommended test positions of the CTIA association where the obtain results in the range of (0.595, 0.413, 0.727, 0.929) in (0.7 GHz, 0.9 GHz, 1.9GHz, 2.1GHz) respectively, in safety range. The design is suitable for most of the mobile applications such as the GSM 900, DCS 1800, PCS 1900, UMTS 2100, ISM 2450 and most of the LTE bands( LTE 700,LTE 2300, and the LTE 2500), WiMAX (2.3–2.4GHz, 2.5–2.69 GHz), and WLAN (2.4–2.5 GHz) and with size (42 × 33.8 × 1.5) 𝑚𝑚3, with Bandwidth 1.7 GHz .
In order to include the DVB band, the proposed antenna is redesigned also with three branch lines with some change in length of this branch .The length is optimized at 500 MHz to include DVB bands where the new dimensions of new antenna are also (42x33.8x1.5) 𝑚𝑚3. The simulated results ensure that the antenna covers all the previous bands plus the DVB band. Taking the -10 dB return loss reference, the antenna operates in the five bands from 470 to 530 MHz, from 666 to 750 MHz, from 862 to 980 MHz, from 1.37 to 2.88 GHz, and from 3.15 GHz to 3.52 GHz.
